problem
For five years, since the creation of the meet, we have been working as a "holding" organisation around three medical businesses, Research Professional, HIPER and Doctor Plus. In their own evolution, they have come to the point where they wanted to introduce a performance-related incentive and bonus scheme, with the involvement of their employees. We launched our mini project to do just that.
our work
During an AS IS workshop, we got to know and understand the perspective of the owners and managers, and then interviewed 10 employees (about one fifth of the total). After analysis and synthesis, we sent an online questionnaire to all employees (all responded), which was used to validate the qualitative results and reconstruct the personas. Based on the assessed needs, pain points and opportunities, we conceptually designed a performance-based incentive and bonus scheme tailored to them. Then, as an episode of a year-long retreat, we held a simulation for the full circle: in 6 teams, they experienced the dimensions and effects of the designed incentive and bonus system in cooperative and competitive games with ping-pong balls, using scoring logics.
solution
Based on desk research, qualitative and quantitative research, simulation results and their joint evaluation, we developed the "final" concept of a performance-based incentive and bonus scheme - which was precisely the idea of a learning system, born in a conceptual learning cycle of co-development with employees. Few incentive schemes are so shared, transparent and legitimate.
