problem
Hearsay, a US-Hungarian ex-startup, assists market-leading American insurance companies by enabling their agents and consultants to communicate effectively yet legally with their clients and potential clients. Our task over a one-year period was to support, educate, and conduct research with the company's in-house designers.
our work
Throughout our collaboration, we essentially acted as the research leads. Our dual aim was to keep the research activities ongoing until they found a suitable candidate for the position and to create the concept of an insight repository that the incoming research lead could further develop. Over the year, we conducted secondary research, exploratory interviews, questionnaire-based research, UX research, and tests (including card sorting and tree testing) and, of course, mixed-method researches. To integrate findings, we facilitated collaboration among individuals from various organizational areas (management, IT, design, product, etc).
solution
We held educational workshops on design thinking, prepared strategic materials based on research results on several topics and also created sensitizing, problem-illustrating videos accessible to everyone from interview recordings. We mapped out the system and process through which user insights gathered from various areas and via different methods could be channelled into one place, making them accessible to anyone within the organization. We provided enhanced support for the designers' and their team leader's work. When Hearsay finally found the perfect candidate for their research lead position, we also supported her onboarding process.
