Improving the experience of international students and reducing the churn rate
problem
Metropolitan University admits students from all over the world, but in the last 2-3 years, the churn rate of international students has increased.
our work
We have fully immersed in the reality of international students: we had dinner with them in their dorms, attended their classes, had causal chats on the campus, and even joined them on a student tour to Eger. Using the insights we’ve found, heard, seen, we created mindset personas and the METU experience journey. Prioritizing between the identified pain points we started rethinking their buddy program, together with a team of METU staff and international students.
solution
International students will be supported by a new mentoring system to help them through the challenges of moving to and living in Hungary. Collateral to the project, once isolated internal teams have also begun to cooperate with each other.
